A county social services department may disclose specific findings regarding an adult protective services investigation pursuant to a court order; with the consent of the disabled adult or disabled adult’s caretaker; to the extent necessary to provide protective services to the disabled adult; to law enforcement officers or the district attorney, upon request, to assist in the criminal investigation or prosecution of abuse, neglect, or exploitation of the disabled adult; or as otherwise authorized by law.
