In the Matter of D.S.B., 179 N.C. App. 577 (2006)

Held:
Affirmed

Citing In re Bullabough, 89 N.C. App. 171, 179 (1988), the court reiterated that delinquency proceedings under the Juvenile Code are governed by the Rules of Civil Procedure. As in a civil case, a juvenile may submit to the court’s jurisdiction by making a general appearance, even where service of process has not been completed pursuant to G.S. 7B-1806. Because the juvenile and his parents participated in the proceedings and did not object to service of process, he waived any defect in service by making a general appearance.
