Taught by a highly recognized professional nurse and consultant in the field, this session will help you in your work with aging populations who may be dealing with a variety of cognitive challenges. How to know if your client is experiencing dementia, how dementia is diagnosed, and what a person with dementia feels and experiences, are all explored. This session also discusses ways for Guardian ad Litem attorneys to approach clients with cognitive issues, how to improve your communication with your clients, and what you should, and should not, expect to see in return.
