Legal Basics for Human Services Directors and Administrators

Directors, administrators, and managers of local human services agencies are faced with complex decisions that require them to have an understanding of the laws that apply to public agencies generally, as well as the laws particular to their agencies. This course is designed to provide leaders in local public health, social services, and consolidated human services agencies with an introduction to key areas of North Carolina law. The first two days constitute the legal basics program. An optional third day workshop will address legal issues in child welfare programs. You may register for the basics program only, the basics program plus the child welfare workshop, or the child welfare workshop only.
