DSS is required to submit certain information to (1) the central registry and (2) to the responsible individuals list.
Information submitted to these lists is confidential and may be used or disclosed only pursuant to rules adopted by the state Social Services Commission.
Knowing and willful unauthorized disclosure of information on either the central registry or the responsible individuals list is a Class 3 misdemeanor.
Information from the central registry may not be used at any hearing or court proceeding unless it is based on a final court judgment.
