Essentials for Local Government Managers

This program is geared toward local government managers who are new to North Carolina or to the profession or to assistant managers and other upper-level local government managers who are interested in becoming city or county managers in the future. The program will give participants a broad set of training on managing local governments in North Carolina.

The class is January 27, 2026 from 9:00a.m. to 4:30p.m at the Benton Convention Center, Winston-Salem. You can view last year's agenda linked here

 Offered in a one-day session, the program will:

  • allow for peer learning;
  • be interactive;
  • cover key topics every manager in North Carolina should know;
  • provide a book and other resources for participants; and
  • give participants guidance about further training and mentoring options.

 

Scholarship Information: Scholarships are available through NCCCMA for NCCCMA members.
