This four-day workshop focuses on the law and practice governing the general reappraisal of real property in North Carolina. It is designed to help assessors and appraisal staff use statistical measures to better ensure the accuracy and uniformity of property tax assessments, learn the basics of general reappraisal, and objectively plan for the next reappraisal.

CERTIFICATION AND CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION
Certification:
NCDOR: This course satisfies a requirement for Level Advancement for Appraiser II & III.
NCTCA: This course satisfies a requirement for certification.
Any credits earned from this program are not applicable toward an academic degree at UNC.
Continuing Education Credits:
NCDOR: This course is approved for 30 hours of CE.
NCAB: This course is approved for 18 hours of CE.

REQUIREMENTS

Pre-requisites: There are no pre-requisites to register for this course.
Members of Civic Federal Credit Union (Civic) are eligible to apply for a scholarship towards registration fees for programs offered by the School of Government. There are four deadlines to submit applications:
- March 1: for programs starting between April 1 and June 30
- June 1: for programs starting between July 1 and September 30
- September 1: for programs starting between October 1 and December 31
- December 1: for programs starting between January 1 and March 31

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Course participants who cancel their registration more than 7 calendar days before the course start date will receive a full refund. Otherwise, participants will receive a transferrable credit to be used within 12 months. More information can be found in the full cancellation and refund policy.
This course is approved by the NC Department of Revenue for 30 credit hours for appraisers and assessors.
