Amanda Stratton serves as the Western North Carolina Recovery Navigator for the School of Government. She joined the School in 2025, in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Based in western North Carolina, she is a connection point for local governments and partner organizations focused on recovery efforts.
Stratton brings more than a decade of public service experience, including roles with Buncombe County and the NC Association of County Commissioners. In these roles, she specialized in program analysis, process improvement, and strategic planning.
Stratton earned a bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University and an MPA from UNC-Chapel Hill.
