Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

Lauren G. Partin is the senior associate dean for administration at the School of Government. Additionally, Partin serves as executive director of SOG Services, Inc., an associated entity of the University, and as treasurer of the School of Government Foundation, Inc. Board.

She joined the School of Government in 2018. Previously, Partin worked for the UNC System Office as the assistant vice president for budget and business enterprises. In that position, Partin led the budget and business offices as well as worked on system-wide business strategies. Prior to that, she was Budget Officer at UNC School of the Arts in Winston-Salem.

Partin earned a bachelor's degree from he University of Central Florida and holds an MFA from the UNC School of the Arts along with an Ed.S. from Appalachian State University.
