
Maggie Bailey is Assistant Director of the Criminal Justice Innovation Lab. In this role, she manages the Lab’s internal operations and supports engaged research projects to promote a more fair and effective criminal justice system. Bailey joined the Criminal Justice Innovation Lab as a Graduate Research Assistant in 2020 and then served as a Lab Project Manager for bail and policing pilot projects. Before working at the School of Government, she worked in public health and health policy at the community and state levels. Bailey is a graduate of Elon University and holds master’s degrees in public administration and city and regional planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
