Marcia Machado Perritt joined the School of Government in June 2014. In 2012 she served as a Community Revitalization Fellow with the School’s community and economic development program. Previously, she was a project manager at the NC Rural Communities Assistance Project, a statewide nonprofit dedicated to building the capacity of low-income communities to address environmental injustices. Perritt holds a bachelor’s degree in Spanish and communications from Huntingdon College, and a Master of City and Regional Planning with a specialty in housing and community development and Master of Public Health from UNC-Chapel Hill.
