Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.
- Covid-19 Response

Margaret Valyou joined DFI in 2022 as assistant director of business operations and finance. She manages DFI’s operations including human resources, budgeting, contracts, workspace, and administrative support. Margaret previously worked at North Carolina State University for over a decade, most recently serving as Assistant Director of Prospect Development. Prior to that, she worked at the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society and the United Arts Council of Raleigh and Wake County. Margaret earned a bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Potsdam and a master’s degree in Public Administration from UNC-Chapel Hill.
