Milton Heath

Milton Heath was a member of the faculty at the School of Government from 1957 to 2009. He was responsible for drafting most of North Carolina's major environmental legislation through the 1960s and 1970s, including the Water Use Act of 1967, the Environmental Policy Act of 1971, and 1974's State Land Policy Act. He served as editor of the Legislative Reporting Service from 1965 to 1974 and received the Environmental Sciences and Engineering Department's Newton Underwood Memorial Award for Excellence in Teaching. He earned an LLB from Columbia University.
