Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.
- Covid-19 Response

Shauna Hines-Farmer joined the School of Government in 2024. As Assistant Director of Career, Alumni, and Employer Engagement, she supports career and professional development for students, alumni, and employers of the UNC Master of Public Administration program. Additionally, Hines-Farmer delivers career services as well as engages alumni and employers.

Previously, she served as a Community Resource Director for Special Olympics North Carolina and Assistant Director of Cooperative Education for the Cooperative Education Program at Clemson University within the Center for Career and Professional Development. She earned a Master of Education from Clemson University and a bachelor's degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
