ncIMPACT Considers Topics for Season 3

In its first two seasons, the ncIMPACT series examined tough challenges around our state in education, jobs, health, and the environment. The School’s Anita Brown-Graham led viewers into communities using effective collaborations to tackle pressing issues ranging from opioid abuse, affordable housing, broadband access, and more.

The program enjoyed remarkable success in its first two years, becoming the most watched public affairs series on UNC-TV in its first year and doubling its viewership in the second season. Viewers have overwhelmingly responded to the inspirational stories of their neighbors across the state working diligently to solve the tough issues that affect North Carolina’s communities. Now, as the show’s creators begin preparing for the third season, the ncIMPACT Initiative is searching for ways to build upon the success of the first two seasons. With insights from stakeholders across North Carolina, the show can expand its breadth of storytelling with new stories of community innovation, collaboration, and transformation.

To help the show’s team better understand what topics to feature in the third season, consider taking this survey by May 31. Responses will help the ncIMPACT team keep the program relevant to viewers seeking positive solutions to tough challenges in North Carolina.

The School of Government partners with UNC-TV Public Media North Carolina to produce ncIMPACT, with sponsorship by Civic Federal Credit Union.
