Contested Hearings: Essentials for Clerks

    This two-day course is offered through the North Carolina Judicial College. It is intended for Clerks and Assistant Clerks of Superior Court who would like to become more comfortable conducting contested hearings. We will emphasize estate and trust hearings. Topics will include clerk's authority, hearing procedures, time management, common evidence problems, drafting an order, and fairness and bias. There will be lecture, small group work, and a mock hearing.
