This bulletin covers G.S Chapter 35B, a new law in North Carolina that incorporates the provisions of the Uniform Adult Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Jurisdiction Act (UAGPPJA), and focuses on three of the main areas of G.S. Chapter 35B: determining proper jurisdiction upon an initial filing of an incompetency and adult guardianship case, transferring of cases to and from N.C., and recognizing out-of-state guardianship orders in N.C.
