Introduction to Estate Administration

May 13 - 14, 2026 | Chapel Hill

This class will cover the basics of the clerk’s role in overseeing the administration of a decedent’s estate. It will primarily focus on full (formal) estate administration but will also include alternatives to full administration such as collection by affidavit and summary administration.

Priority for this class will be given to elected and assistant clerks who have worked in the area of decedents’ estate administration for less than 5 years.

This course will qualify for CLE credit, subject to Bar approval.
