Registration is now open for the 2026 Regional Magistrate Training (East), sponsored by the North Carolina Judicial College. These regional schools, offered through the North Carolina Judicial College, are intended for magistrates who may have trouble attending in-person training because of time and distance obstacles. Faculty from the School of Government will travel to these regions to provide civil and criminal law training on topics such as setting conditions of pretrial release and summary ejectment. The schools will include a combination of lectures, group discussions, and interactive exercises.
