The Missing Piece of the Puzzle

Your client has an entire life outside of the case that you represent her in. Part of her life may include being a party in a past or current proceeding of another type – e.g., juvenile abuse/neglect/dependency, civil commitment, incompetency and guardianship, or a domestic case. As her lawyer in this situation, there are several ethical and professional duties you need to be aware of.
