Knapp Library
The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

Visitation must be ordered unless the court finds the parent forfeited his or her right to visitation or that it was in the child’s best interests to deny visitation. The visitation plan that is ordered by the court must contain a minimum outline of time, place and conditions.**

** Since the order in the underlying action was entered, S.L. 2013-129 was enacted to add G.S. 7B-905.1, which specifically addresses visitation. The statute requires the order to address the frequency, duration, and level of supervision for the visitation; location is not included.
