This 1.5 hour webinar discusses legislative changes to North Carolina child welfare law during the 2025-2026 legislative session, focusing on session laws enacted through September 30, 2025. The webinar primarily focuses on Session Law 2025-16, the Fostering Care in NC Act, but the webinar also discusses shorter session laws that impact child welfare. This webinar is broken into three main topics: criminal history record checks, State oversight and review of county departments of social services, and changes to North Carolina’s child welfare laws.
