Public Law for the Public's Lawyers On-Demand
*ON-DEMAND OPTION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER JANUARY 31, 2026*
Public Law for the Public’s Lawyers, or PLPL for short, is an annual CLE course designed for attorneys who work in or with North Carolina government. Some topics focus on legislative branch and executive branch information and issues, while other topics are of more general interest.
PLPL takes place each fall and includes 12 hours of CLE. This year’s offering took place October 29-31, 2025. All 12 sessions have been recorded and are available as part of this on-demand course.
Registration is $185 for attorneys who work for a state or local government entity, and $300 for private attorneys. The fee is the same for the live event and the on-demand version.
Registration for the on-demand videos will be available from Nov. 12, 2025 until January 31, 2026. *RECORDINGS WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE AFTER JANUARY 31, 2026*
To receive CLE credit, individuals must register and view the full course. Upon completion, the program manager will submit your hours to the NC Bar (paralegals see below). No form will be required for attorneys who qualify for the full 12 hours of credit.
If you do not require the full 12 hours of CLE, complete the Partial Credit Form and email it to the program manager, Bryan Matthews. NOTE: If we do not hear from you by Feb. 21st, your name will be submitted for the full 12 hours of credit.
For paralegals, complete this attendance form for course credit and email it to the CLE Liaison, Kayla Fowler, who will sign and return the form to you for self-reporting.
