Juvenile Defender Conference

This course is sponsored by Co-sponsored by Office of Indigent Defense Services.

The Juvenile Defender Conference provides training for attorneys who represent youth in delinquency proceedings. Conference topics will include legislative updates, post-disposition advocacy, issues surrounding recidivism, and more.

The program offers six hours of CLE credit, including one hour of mental health, subject to Bar approval. The course also qualifies for Criminal Law and Juvenile Delinquency Specialization Credit.

This course will be held on Friday, August 18th from 8:50am - 4:30pm.

The registration deadline for this program is 5:00pm on Thursday, August 3rd.

Format:

This year’s conference will be offered in person at the School of Government.

CLE:

Participants:

The Juvenile Defender Conference is open to public defenders, appellate defenders, and other parent and juvenile defenders who handle a significant number of appointed cases.

Fee:

There is no fee for IDS state employees. The registration fee for private assigned counsel is $165.

This course qualifies for Criminal Law/Juvenile Delinquency Specialization Credit.
