Train the Trainers for Defenders

October 22 - 23, 2025 | 9:00am-5:00pm | Chapel Hill

Registration is closed for the 2025 Train the Trainers for Defenders Workshop.

Through this workshop, attendees will learn principles of adult learning, how to create learning objectives, how to use principles of adult learning and learning objectives to design effective training sessions, and principles and techniques for effective facilitation of small groups. Participants will also have the opportunity to work in small groups on either designing a training session on a topic of their choice or facilitating small group work.

REGISTRATION FEE

The registration fee for non-IDS employees is $375. There is no fee for IDS state employees.

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

Per the State Bar, this course is not eligible for CLE credit.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Course participants who cancel their registration more than 7 calendar days before the course start date will receive a full refund. Otherwise, participants will receive a transferrable credit to be used within 12 months. More information can be found in the full cancellation and refund policy
