Our clients and students love the School of Government, and we want to make sure they have an opportunity to show their pride through branded merchandise. The Strategic Communications team helps the School stay within the logo, branding, and licensing rules established by University's Office of Trademarks and Licensing, and helps the School demonstrate that we are good stewards of our funding.

To stay within brand guidelines, we encourage the use of the School’s logo and any approved departmental logos on materials that are as close to “Carolina Blue” (PMS 542) as possible or on a neutral-color background (clear, white, black, navy, tan/craft brown). We also strongly encourage the use of the logo on items designed to be used in a professional setting or context—rather than a personal or home setting. The School of Government prohibits the use of any logos or School-affiliated identity markers on products associated with tobacco use, alcohol use, firearms, or gambling.

Cat Schmidt and Emily Hinkle can help you navigate the world of identity standards, branding, and licensed vendors.
