Knapp Library

The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

Performance Management in Service Departments

The Performance Management Course Series focuses on converting performance information into decisions that enhance the effectiveness, efficiency, and equity of various departments in local government. Series lead faculty member Obed Pasha, along with adjunct experts, will review performance management topics including goal setting, measurement, analysis, decision-making, and best practices. Course participants will learn accessible step-by-step techniques to demystify the performance management process for public managers and provide data management and decision-making templates to help implement performance management in their respective departments.
