Knapp Library

The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

The Center for Public Technology can research and prepare strategic technology plans for NC government agencies. A strategic plan gives the agency a mission as it assesses where the agency currently is and where it would like to be in the future. The Center's staff will conduct surveys of the entire agency before holding focus groups with power users and interviewing the IT staff.

The Center has conducted strategic technology plans for the Town of Cary, the City of Jacksonville, and Robeson County. Please contact us to request a sample of our work or to inquire about a plan for your agency.
