Knapp Library

The Joseph Palmer Knapp Library houses a large collection of material on state and local government, public administration, and management to support the School's instructional and research programs and the educational mission of the Master of Public Administration program. Reference and research services are available to all residents of North Carolina, and additional assistance is available to state and local government personnel, both elected and appointed.

The Center provides consulting services to local governments in the area of Technology Planning and Management. Center staff have led Strategic Information Technology Planning projects for several cities and counties, including:

Warren County
Hoke County
Wayne County
Randolph County
City of High Point

In addition, CPT staff have worked with the staff of the Rural Internet Access Authority to enhance the availability of e-Government services in rural North Carolina. Our staff facilitated the development of e-Community plans for:

Beaufort County
Cleveland County
Lincoln County

CPT staff members are continuing to assist local jurisdictions in the implementation of e-Government projects through the LEG-UP program of the RIAA. To learn more about this program, please visit ncbroadband.gov.
