Neuroeducation and Juvenile Justice Training Module
This online training Module provides an overview of adolescent brain development and how substance use impacts that development. Details about how brain development impacts emotion regulation, executive function, impulsivity, motivation, and emotion processing are provided. The Module also explores how typical delinquency dispositions may or may not support brain development in early, middle, and late adolescence for youth who are engaged in substance use and how appropriate service matching can maximize the potential for brain development that is more likely to reduce risk for reoffending.
